Nestled on the shores of Lake Kariba, this camp features eight luxury tents with stunning views of the lake and Matusadona Mountains, offering an immersive safari experience. Set beneath shady Mopane trees, a lakeside pool invites afternoon dips and cocktails, while the open-air lounge—furnished with leather seating, colorful mosaic tiles, and a thatched roof—provides a relaxed space to unwind, socialize, or connect online with available Wi-Fi and a central charging station.
Rooms
Six standard tents, each accommodating two guests, along with two sets of interconnecting family tents that provide a safe and private space for children to move easily between their room and their parents’.Crafted from classic olive safari canvas, all tents are fully mosquito-proofed with specialized netting, allowing you to drift off to sleep with a cool breeze and the sounds of the wild. Each tent is uniquely styled with touches of East African design.
Dining
Dining at Changa Safari Camp is a highlight in itself, with fresh, thoughtfully prepared meals that are as beautifully presented as they are delicious. Breakfast and lunch are served al fresco on the elevated deck—either beneath the thatched open-air dining area or under the shade of a Zig-zag terminalia tree overlooking the private beach.Afternoon tea includes a selection of teas, local coffee, and a sweet treat, while dinner is a candle-lit affair, announced by the beat of a drum at 7:30pm and enjoyed in a different scenic location each night.
Recreation
In the cool early mornings, set out on a guided walk to discover nature’s finer details, or take a game drive to explore diverse landscapes—from floodplains to red sandy shores where a resident lion pride roams.
